•    Subsequent to an intermediate brain injury, an individual will typically appear confused, dazed, or disoriented; they may also respond topressure-induced pain.

3.    Traumatic Brain Injury: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is defined as a type of damage sustained by the brain, which is the most severe in nature. Traumatic brain injury typically includes the following:
•    A prolonged coma
•    Long-term loss of consciousness
•    Long-term post traumatic amnesia
•    Long-term side effects of TBI can include paralysis, developmental difficulties, and neurological damage.

Specific Brain Injuries

•    Coup contrecoup is a type of impact sustained by the brain, causing the brain to slam into the skull. As a result, the brain sustains damage upon the point of impact sustained, contributing to a vast array of ailments and injuries.
•    Diffuse Axonal is a type of impact sustained by the brain resulting from rapid shaking of the brain; Shaken Baby Syndrome and whiplash are the most common examples of this type of brain injury

Results of a Brain Injury
